PSYCH-K® is a simple process that provides direct communication with your subconscious mind, providing a unique way to identify and change “subconscious beliefs”, responsible for behaviors you would like to change and that may be unconsciously sabotaging even your best intentions (i.e. self-esteem, relationships, job performance, emotional and physical health). It is a user-friendly way to rewrite the software of your mind in order to change the printout of your life.

PSYCH-K® evolved from years of split-brain research and hundreds of sessions with individuals and groups. It increases the cross-talk between both hemispheres and creates a receptive, “Whole-Brain State” that dramatically reduces resistance to change at the subconscious level of the mind. The subconscious mind and the beliefs it holds (similar to your computer programs and files) can be accessed in a way analogous to a personal computer. PSYCH-K® works as a kind of ‘mental keyboard’ — a user-friendly method of communicating with the subconscious mind that is simple, direct, and verifiable.

Your subconscious beliefs establish the limits of what you can achieve. If your life feels like a car being driven with one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake, chances are you have a conflict between your conscious goals and your subconscious beliefs. This kind of conflict can show up in your relationships, job performance, self-esteem, athletics, weight loss, prosperity, even your physical health.

PSYCH-K® was originated in 1988 by Robert M. Williams, M.A. It was a response to the frustration that came with the realization that typical counseling techniques, which rely almost exclusively on “insight” and “motivation,” seldom create real and lasting changes. Rob has spent more than 25 years developing and improving PSYCH-K®. His backgrounds in both business and psychotherapy create a results-oriented approach to personal change. PSYCH-K® was inspired by a variety of processes, some contemporary and some ancient. It deals with the part of the mind called the subconscious, which is capable of creating dramatic and lasting changes, quickly and easily.

A PSYCH-K® Balance is a process designed to create balanced communication with both hemispheres of the cerebral cortex. This “Whole-Brain State” is ideal for reprogramming the subconscious mind with new self-enhancing beliefs that support your goals rather than block them!

Cell Biologist, Dr. Bruce Lipton, co-produced a powerful DVD (The Biology or Perception, The Psychology of Change) with Robert Williams that provides a logical, scientific and practical way to understand and use these innovative new ideas. As you watch the DVD, pieces begin to fit in place and come together as you see and understand the nature of your mind/body connection. Feel free to visit for information about his research and his amazing book, The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles.  PSYCH-K® has been transformational for thousands of people, and its success over the years speaks for itself.  Also available in the LINKS tab is an article written by Dr. Jeff Fannin with the latest research using brain mapping with PSYCH-K® processes.

During the balance process people have often said they immediately feel lighter about the situation they balanced for. Other times the change may not be noticed for a few hours or days.

If this occurs, it would be helpful to ask yourself, "What benefit do I gain from the old thoughts or behaviors?" When this is considered openly and honestly; the result is usually quite profound and revealing. You may choose to do additional balances taking into consideration the "secondary gain benefits," which resulted in manifesting the behaviors or situation.

PSYCH-K® is unique in several ways:  Its grace and simplicity honors the inner and higher wisdom within you.  Permission protocols are used prior to any change being made that ensures each balance is in your highest and best interest and will cause no harm.  It elicits direct feedback from the subconscious mind in its willingness and ability to make a change.  Change is verifiable, using pre-testing and post-testing, it takes the guess work out of change, leaving you with confirmation that a belief is now different.  It empowers each individual to take responsibility for their own life experience and eliminates the need for an external professional to get you where you want to be.  PSYCH-K® focuses on where you “want to be” and gives you tools to get you there.

PSYCH-K® is a synthesis of a variety of processes for change, some contemporary and some ancient. While it shares certain characteristics with other methods, it is unique in the following important ways:

  • PSYCH-K® is a "do-with" process that depends predominantly on the individual seeking change, not on the facilitator. PSYCH-K® activates the inner resources of the subconscious and superconscious minds. This approach honors the power and responsibility of the individual in making the changes they seek.

  • PSYCH-K® does not require that you understand or even remember the event or trauma that led to the limiting belief. Unlike other therapies that depend upon insight into the original experience, with PSYCH-K® you can simply change the belief.

  • PSYCH-K® taps into your inner wisdom or superconscious connection, which ensures that the goal and belief change will be safe and appropriate for you. The built-in permission protocols are one of PSYCH-K®'s most significant advantages.

For thousands of years, the idea of a superconscious mind has been a part of human culture. Some refer to it as the Higher Self, Spirit, or Soul. Although many mainstream scientists and psychologists continue to debate its existence, the concept of the superconscious mind has been accepted by some of the brightest intellects humanity has produced. This reality of a spiritually expanded consciousness is an important bridge between contemporary spirituality and contemporary psychology. PSYCH-K® provides a format that actively blends the two perspectives.

The superconscious mind is different from our other two "minds." The conscious (or volitional) mind sets goals and judges results. The subconscious (or habitual) mind is programmed to respond to its environment automatically. The superconscious mind is more like a caring parent or teacher who watches over your development. Although the superconscious is a valuable source of expanded awareness, it is important to confer with rather than to defer to this level of mind. A good student seeks to master the knowledge gained from a teacher. Similarly, your conscious mind needs to learn how to integrate the wisdom of the superconscious mind with the subconscious mind to develop into a unified consciousness. In this state, correct action is automatic because intuition, volition, and action become ONE.
